What do you like about working for your firm?
“What I enjoy most is having the privilege to work close up with some outstanding businesses and business owners. As accountants, we are uniquely placed to help people identify and achieve their business and personal goals, and that’s what drives me.”
What are in your words the strengths of your firm?
“We have established and successfully operated businesses in a number of sectors from accounting, financial services, insurance, health and fitness, property development and retail. Our commercial experience enhances our ability to advice and guide our clients when dealing with the challenges of establishing and growing their business.”
“We might be known for our expertise with numbers, but ultimately we are in a people business.”Maurice Cregan, Managing Partner
What is the most valuable lesson you have learned at your firm?
“We might be known for our expertise with numbers, but ultimately we are in a people business, and we aim to treat our team members and clients the same way we would like to be treated, both in a professional and personal capacity.”
What is the most rewarding experience you have had at your firm so far?
“There have been many, including saving a client’s home and business through a debt resolution and refinancing, leading a community-based fundraising for our local rugby club for a new all-weather pitch, winning awards, building a loyal team who seem to enjoy working with us.”
What result you achieved for a client are you most proud of?
“A debt resolution case where the client was at risk of losing his home and business. We negotiated a settlement and refinance involving the next generation, our client’s son allowing our client to retire and keep his home unencumbered.”
“We make life less taxing for our clients.”Maurice Cregan, Managing Partner
What is your favourite statement that you regularly use when advising your clients?
“This is a great place to start.”
Which conditions do you think a ‘firm of the future’ should meet?
“Support one another, through collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, sharing the knowledge.”
How do you see the future of your firm from your perspective?
“Excited to be part of the Firm of the Future and the opportunities that can bring for our team members and enhanced ability to help our clients grow and develop. We have some excellent firms in the group that are more advanced and recognised as leading the profession in terms of Technology, Business Advisory and systems. The deployment of this knowledge and experience across the firms represents a real commercial opportunity for the group..”
