What do you like about working for your firm?

“I love the fast-paced life that comes with working in practice. No two days are the same and no two clients are the same; there is always a new challenge waiting for you. Clients see you as a trusted adviser, who will look after their financial affairs and sometimes, their private lives too!”

What are in your words the strengths of your firm?

“We are a small team of advisers with a wealth of knowledge. Our clients range from sole-traders to PLCs operating in a wide range of industries. We have extensive knowledge of the construction, waste and recycling industry as well as the public houses and the hospitality industries.”

What is the most valuable lesson you have learned at your firm?

“The most valuable lesson that I have learnt is to never turn a client or assignment away. If we do not know how to do something, we will learn. I have also learnt that if you get a client out of a problem, they will always remember you and stay loyal.”

What is the best or most rewarding experience you have had at your firm so far?

“In the twenty years that I have run my practice, I have seen many clients and the challenges that they bring. The most rewarding experience is when a client recommends you to a friend or family member.”

What is your favourite statement that you regularly use when advising your clients?

“Leave it with me!”

Geoffrey Jarrett, Senior Partner of Hills Jarrett TXS.

What result you achieved for a client, are you most proud of?

“Successfully advising a client during the acquisition of a competitor for £8.7m. Being involved right from the start with the due diligence, raising funds, negotiating the purchase price and seeing the acquisition through to completion.”

How do you see the future of your firm from your perspective?

“I anticipate that the firm will grow stronger, fully utilise the resources available to the group and increase fees earning potential and profitability.”
