What do you like about working for your firm?

“We love becoming a part of our clients’ business, our tailored outsourced finance service allows us to really get to know our clients and their business allowing us to make a real impact on their financial objectives. Also, the Clear Vision Financial Management team, seeing them work, grow and develop together to provide our clients with the financial advice they need.”

What are in your words the strengths of your firm?

“Working together as one team, we have different skill sets and experience levels throughout the business and it is great to all work together for our clients. We collaborate a lot across the business to ensure we are a core part of our clients’ business and as a paperless office we offer the latest software and systems so our clients can access their financial information easily.”

What is the most valuable lesson you have learned at your firm?

“Continuing to innovate, we have strived to keep up with the latest technology and software systems to ensure we are providing a streamlined service to our clients. Having the right team in place (especially as a small business) is vital, everyone across the Clear Vision Financial Management team works collaboratively to ensure our clients receive the service they deserve.”

What is the most rewarding experience you have had at your firm so far?

“Growing the business from just me to a team of fourteen and providing the services we do to our clients. We provide a tailored service to each client from just bookkeeping to a fully outsourced finance function. We have also developed extra services such as R&D Taxbox that is dedicated to processing R&D tax claims.”

What result you achieved for a client are you most proud of?

“We’ve worked with a client since early 2012 and throughout that time we have helped and supported them in a 5x growth to over £10m of sales, supported them through a sale and still support them now as FD to their business as they expand to over £20m turnover through general growth and acquisition. Our R&D tax credit offering (R&D Taxbox) has meant we have been able to help several clients to claim back cash for projects that have been developed. We have one client in the education sector that has developed a bespoke education application. We have prepared five consecutive claims for them now and so far they have claimed £321k with our help. When we initially discussed R&D with them, they had no idea that they were able to make a claim, so it’s a great sense of achievement knowing that we’ve helped them to such an extent and made a real difference to their business.”

How do you help clients being innovative?

“As we become an integrated part of our clients’ business, we are more than just their accountants and we can advise on all aspects of their business. We ensure we keep up to date with the latest technology and legislation so we can collaborate with our clients and advise them on how they can reach their objectives.”

Which conditions do you think a ‘firm of the future’ should meet?

“Continually evolving to provide the latest software and services to our clients to ensure they can access their financial information easily in order to reach their goals. Developing our team so they grow with our clients and are knowledgeable on the latest technology.”

How do you see the future of your firm from your perspective?

“We are looking forward to working across the Xeinadin Group, sharing best practices and knowledge with the other member firms. The Clear Vision Financial Management team will also be able to access greater opportunities across the group to future develop their careers. We would also like to expand our R&D tax credit offering across the Xeinadin Group.”
