In this section of the website, we introduce you to one of our firms. Up next is McManus Williams KGG run by Managing Director Eamon McManus and his team. Read his answers to our questions to get to know him and the firm.
What do you like about working for your firm?
“I have the privilege of working with an amazing, dedicated team of colleagues and a loyal and inspiring client base. Without their collective support, I wouldn’t be able to continually drive forward our ambitious, digital agenda.”
What are in your words the strengths of your firm?
“We have worked so hard to embrace technology and to pass our knowledge of the myriad software solutions out there on to our clients. We are as much business process experts these days as we are accountants. By helping clients to work smarter and more efficiently, we can deliver significant extra value for them and a huge amount of extra job satisfaction for us.”

What are the most valuable lessons you have learned at your firm?
“Not to be daunted by the scale of a challenge. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed when the perceived amount of work or tricky nature of an issue seems insurmountable. I have been reminded time and time again that with the right plan, motivation and injection of passion, any challenge can be met.”
What is the most rewarding experience you have had at your firm so far?
“I have thoroughly enjoyed designing a technology-led service and then seeing the huge benefits I envisioned actually delivered to clients by my staff, many of whom have trained with me from scratch. I’m a big fan of apprenticeships, and it’s been hugely rewarding to play my part in equipping a new generation with the digital skills they’ll need to deliver accountancy services in an advisory led future.”
What result you achieved for a client, are you most proud of?
“I have helped numerous clients move their businesses from paper led, information starved existences to a cloud-based, integrated platform where opportunities are highlighted, inefficiencies and roadblocks are identified and eliminated, costs are reduced, and precious time is reclaimed. Paper? What paper?”
“As a firm, we’re constantly searching for ways to better connect with our clients.”Eamon McManus, Managing Director
What is your favourite statement that you regularly use when advising your clients?
“As a firm, we’re constantly searching for ways to better connect with our clients because we believe that the better we know our clients and the easier it is for them to involve us, the more value we can add and the more fun we can have.”
Which conditions do you think a ‘firm of the future’ should meet?
“Digitally focused, advisory led, proactive and personal.”
How do you see the future of your firm from your perspective?
“Striving to use technology more and more to provide timely business insights, with a team trained to explore and exploit those insights with clients as part of an advisory led service.”
