In this section of the website, we introduce you to one of our firms. Up next is Tish Leibovitch run by Director Barry Leibovitch and his team. Read his answers to our questions to get to know him and the firm.

What do you like about working for your firm?

“What I really like is dealing with clients and helping them. Especially when they need the most help such as right now in dealing with the virus issues. The variety of clients that we have means we have a lot of experience. We also have many long-standing clients and staff members and it feels a bit like a family.”

What are in your words the strengths of your firm?

“The three directors and our staff colleagues are very nice and likeable people. We are experienced and have loyal staff with a wide variety of experience. We are good with people and build good relationships. We deliver good service and we are trusted advisors.”

“Each client is important, big or small.”

Barry Leibovitch, Director of Tish Leibovitch.

What is the most valuable lesson you have learned at your firm?

“Try to see things from a clients viewpoint. Each client is important, big or small. Being able to communicate in plain English is very valuable and necessary, and I think it is a strength of ours. We are in a service industry so we try hard to deliver good service.”

What is the best or most rewarding experience you have had at your firm so far?

“We had a new client come to us after a tax enquiry had been opened into their tax affairs. They had done their own tax return and had got into a mess. They were extremely stressed by the situation. We sorted it all out, and even got them a tax refund! They were so relieved at the end that they burst into tears. We now have a client for life.”

What is your favourite statement that you regularly use when advising your clients?

“I want to help you pay more tax*.”

Barry Leibovitch, Director of Tish Leibovitch.

*This by definition means that I have helped increasing their profits.

What result you achieved for a client, are you most proud of?

“Many years ago we had a lady come to us setting up a business for the first time on her own. We helped her over many difficulties over the years, and now her company employs almost 1000 people and is very profitable. This is extremely rewarding to see such growth and loyalty.”

How do you see the future of your firm from your perspective?

“We have traded for 30 years so far and we see a bright future. We are dealing with second and even third generations, and are constantly getting referrals of young business people. I believe that small accountancy firms will thrive and be in ever more demand. I’m very optimistic.”
