Centurion will automatically become a VAT specialist for all 150+ Xeinadin offices whilst they will also support other professional services firms being accountants, lawyers and direct tax advisory firms with helpline support to enable them to ensure VAT issues arising for their clients are resolved effectively.
Xeinadin is also very proud to announce that Liz Maher, Director of Centurion VAT, has been awarded an OBE in the Queen’s 2019 New Year’s Honours List for services to Diversity and to Economic Development.
Formerly an HMRC VAT inspector and an Indirect Tax Director with Ernst & Young, Liz, with 35 years VAT experience, is a regular VAT speaker at events for the ICAEW, ACCA and AAT. Liz has also delivered VAT Webinars for bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Housing and for Exporters through the Open to Export government initiative.
Liz is frequently called upon by the media to provide commentary, not only for her expert VAT opinion, but also in her past role as President of the South and Mid-Wales Chamber of Commerce and current role as a CBI Wales Council member. Unsurprisingly Making VAT Digital and planning for Brexit, with their impact on VAT systems and on businesses’ ability to grow external markets, are recurring themes in 2019.
