Xeinadin, a top 20 professional services practice in the UK and Ireland, has announced the acquisition of Bennett Whitehouse, a Brierley Hill–based accountancy firm with national specialist expertise in franchise payroll and service charge accounting.
Founded in 2018 by Gavin Whitehouse, Bennett Whitehouse has grown from a one-person practice to a 40-strong team in just six years. Now joining Xeinadin’s integrated network of over 100 offices across the UK and Ireland, the firm will retain its strong local presence while gaining access to a wide range of national resources. Around half of the current employees have worked with Gavin for more than two decades, reflecting the firm’s culture of trust, loyalty and long-term relationships.
Bennett Whitehouse has developed two national specialisms: providing payroll services to franchise businesses, and delivering commercial and residential service charge certification and accounts. Both areas are supported by in-house developed software designed to automate processes and improve efficiency, including bespoke service charge workflow tools and a new payroll automation system currently in development.
“I’ve worked with some of my team for more than 20 years, and many of our clients have been with us just as long. This move is about making sure those relationships are protected for the future. We’ll still be the same people our clients know and trust, but now we’ll have the backing of Xeinadin’s national network with deeper expertise in areas like tax and VAT, and the resources to grow in a way that’s sustainable for everyone.” said Gavin Whitehouse, CEO and founder of Bennett Whitehouse. “It’s also going to be a real lift for our team; better benefits, more opportunities, and the reassurance of being part of something bigger.”
The move will allow Bennett Whitehouse to enhance its tax and VAT advisory capabilities, work more closely with fellow Xeinadin specialists in the service charge sector to pursue larger projects, and explore new opportunities in franchise payroll services. Clients will continue to work with the same trusted team, with the additional support of Xeinadin’s nationwide network and investment in technology.
Derry Crowley, CEO of Xeinadin, commented: “Gavin has built a practice with a national reputation in two very specialised areas, run by people who’ve chosen to work together for decades. That loyalty, both within the team and from clients, is rare. It’s exactly the kind of culture we want in Xeinadin. By combining their expertise with our national platform, we can help Bennett Whitehouse do more of what they already do brilliantly, whether that’s scaling their payroll operation, targeting bigger service charge contracts, or giving clients access to the full breadth of advisory services they now have at their fingertips.”
Bennett Whitehouse’s clients will now benefit from Xeinadin’s partner-led agility and cloud accounting expertise, giving the firm a truly comprehensive, digital first-solution. Tailored and personal business support is needed more than ever, and the partnership will empower businesses at every stage of their growth.
